Michael Goldthorpe has enjoyed a lifetime of teaching singing both for institutions and privately. For many years he was a vocal tutor at Roehampton University, and has also held teaching posts at Royal Holloway College, Egham, The London College of Music, and the former Trinity College of Music, London, now Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance. He has examined at The Royal College of Music and helped devise the Associated Board’s Mentoring syllabus for singing teachers. He has directed singing classes for I.L.E.A., Benslow Music Trust and Dartington Summer School. He was vocal tutor at Priestlands School, Pennington for many years.

Michael is interested in all aspects of vocal health and development. His pupils range from 12-95 years of age. They have included singers, actors and those with vocal problems. Whether complete beginners or advanced, all who are keen to improve their voice are welcome to apply for a consultation.
